Yes I drink diet soda and regular soda everyday on my life even I heard that it could hurt your health. However, as too many other products that we use, eat, or drink it has advantages and disadvantages. As a disadvantage diet soda could cause a cancer as it says in the first article depending on an Italian study. Also, diet soda could make fat as you will see in the video below. For I would not change my habit of drinking soda either it is diet or regular because as I said before it could hurt you or help you, so it has kind of balance for me. As a result, I think both article are right. I think that there was a flaw in second article when the author shows that there is no risk of diet soda and trying to prove to us drinking diet soda is save and keep drinking soda. For me second article seems to be a commercial for diet soda not as prove of safety.
